The new JVC gaming headset, available in wired and wireless versions, combines comfort and performance to appeal to gamers who demand exceptional audio quality and the highest level of comfort for sustained gaming sessions. These objectives are achieved through the use of large drivers, a microphone optimized for gamers’ needs, and a fixation on light weight.
The JVC GG-01 gaming headset weighs a mere seven ounces/199 grams (wireless GG-01W: 7.3 oz/209g) (both weights are without mic and cable). The light weight is in part achieved through the use of a honeycomb mesh structure on the back of each housing. To further ensure comfort over hours of gaming, the headset features an elastic headband, adjustable with a lightweight plastic slider. The earpads are soft, thick mesh memory foam, a design that minimizes perspiration dampness when worn for long periods.
The 40mm drivers deliver clean, low distortion audio tuned for gaming to provide outstanding localization, while the microphone offers clear voice performance while minimizing background noise. The wireless GG-01W includes a 2.4GHz wireless low-latency USB transmitter, so lag while gaming isn’t an issue.
